On a wall in the South Amboy Post Office (08879 \u2013 the zip code used in Morgan, NJ!), these same five Morgans are listed, along with 30 other local veterans, on the \u201cLiberty Plaque\u201d which was created as part of the 1976 American Revolution Bicentennial celebration.\u00a0 The plaque reads,<\/span><\/p>\n\u201cErected to honor the memory of the valiant citizens of this community who served in the Armed Forces that won our liberty in the War of Independence 1775-1781\u201d.<\/i><\/p>\n
Without these five Morgans and thousands like them during those difficult times, where would we now be?\u00a0 Probably speaking English.<\/p>\n
